No single “level” for a child.
Mastery is tracked per skill, not per child. A four-year-old may count past twenty and still be early in rhyme, and Spryling treats those as two different states — because they are. Age is only the starting prior.

Apple TV · Ages 2–6
An individualized preschool learning system that turns the living room into an interactive play space.
Spryling is in development for Apple TV. It is not on the App Store yet.
The category
Defined against passive screen time. The child listens, thinks, responds, predicts, remembers, moves and chooses. Sessions have intentional beginnings and endings. Siblings participate together. Content changes according to learning need rather than engagement probability.
Mastery is tracked per skill, not per child. A four-year-old may count past twenty and still be early in rhyme, and Spryling treats those as two different states — because they are. Age is only the starting prior.
Two children of different ages get the same scene, the same story and the same surprise — and a different question each. The television is never split into “baby mode” and “big kid mode”.
With an iPhone as a Continuity Camera, children can step, jump, wave and hold a pose to answer. With every sensor off, the same activity is answered with the remote. Nothing is locked behind a camera.
How a session works
A parent picks the children; each child has their own learning identity on this Apple TV.
Nine of them, from a ten-minute Quick Play to Story Time to Move Mode.
The lantern-carrying guide asks each child a question pitched to that child's own skill state, inside one shared world.
Sessions have an ending. There is no infinite feed and no “just one more”.
Worlds
Six are open to every family. Four more come with a Family Membership.

What children practise
The same skill returns in a new costume — a shape you point at today, an island you jump onto tomorrow, a window a robot needs the day after.

Privacy

The one exception is one you start yourself: you can ask us to learn how to say it, and only the name is sent.
No face template, no voice print, no stored pose or gait, no camera recording. What the camera sees answers the question in front of your child and is discarded in the same frame.
Camera off, play with the remote. Cloud off, progress stays local. Recognition off, the guide identifies players for the session only. A child is never punished because a parent chose the more private option.
No behavioural profiling, no open chat, no public profiles, no leaderboards, no loot boxes, no streaks to lose. Purchase surfaces sit behind a parental gate; a child only ever sees “More adventures are available with a grown-up”.
Spryling ships with cloud features switched off. The app is fully functional with no network at all.
